Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy has been used safely and effectively in medicine for more than 20 years. Platelet-rich plasma is known for its ability to spur soft-tissue growth. With this type of regenerative therapy, a PRP centrifuge concentrates platelets, which contain the natural growth factors the body uses to heal itself.
